UK Stays...A Hidden Hotel Treasure!
As the new series of A Place in Sun - Home or Away hits our screens both his week and next, I have been staying in various locations both Home and Away! It is always nice to be on home soil especially with the fantastic weather we have been experiencing.
Recently whilst working in Suffolk I came across The Swan. This luxurious historic hotel is based in the quaint village of Lavenham.
The Swan caters for Hotel and Spa Breaks, Weddings, Evening Meals and Afternoon Teas. It has earned the reputation of being one of the finest hotels in Suffolk.
Oak beams dominate the building which oozes character and charm. Whilst the hotel is steeped in history, the interior design throughout is a stylish mix of old and new which I personally love.
There are 45 rooms in total in all different shapes and sizes and this include luxurious suites where I was lucky enough to stay.
The Spa is small but perfectly formed and has a very relaxing vibe. Facilities include six treatment rooms, two relaxation suites, a steam room and hot stone sauna. Outside you will find a small vitality pool to enjoy if the weather allows. There is also a beautifully maintained terraced area for relaxing in the sunshine.
The food at The Swan was outstanding and beautifully presented. The Gallery restaurant offered a fine dining experience of up to five courses, or for something less formal the Brasserie restaurant serves more traditional pub style food. If like myself you are partial to the indulgence of Afternoon Tea, The Swan’s offering is incredibly hard to resist. Eveything is served on fine Royal Worcester crockery which has been specifically created for The Swan by Walpole of Stoke on Trent. I loved the attention to detail!
If you are looking for a hotel and spa break in luxurious surroundings full of character, I highly recommend a visit to The Swan,
