WIN A 7 NIGHT HOLIDAY at The Constantinou Bros Athena Beach Hotel, Paphos, Cyprus

If you’re after a sunshine escape where everything is right on your doorstep; beach, pools, great food and plenty to keep the kids happy, Athena Beach Hotel in Paphos really delivers. It’s the kind of place that makes family travel feel easy from the moment you arrive.

I recently enjoyed a four-day break there with Tahlia, her best friend and her mum, and it was the perfect mix of relaxation and fun.

This wasn’t actually my first visit to Athena Beach. I stayed here around six years ago, so it was lovely to return and see that it’s just as fantastic as I remembered. It’s always reassuring when a hotel lives up to your memories… 

I booked the Elite all-inclusive package and it was absolutely worth it. The extra touches really made our stay feel that little bit more special from the moment we arrived. The rooms are incredibly spacious, with lovely large balconies and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The Elite package also included a complimentary mini bar in the room, which was a nice touch.

The beachfront location is fantastic, with stunning sea views and direct access to the promenade. The food was excellent too, with plenty of choice at every meal, and the evening entertainment meant there was always something going on to keep everyone happy.

The girls absolutely loved making the most of everything on offer. The Silent Cinema was a hit.  We also headed to the nearby watersports centre where I took them out on the Crazy Couch… being the adrenaline junkie I am, of course I enjoyed it as much as they did! Another real highlight was when the girls enjoyed a beautiful sunset horse ride at George’s Ranch, which is only around a 25-minute taxi ride from the hotel and well worth adding to your itinerary.

If you’re visiting Paphos, don’t miss the Old Town. It’s full of charm, with lovely cafés, shops and restaurants to explore. My one tip would be to avoid Monday evenings, as quite a few places are closed.  The harbour is another must-visit and is just a beautiful 30-minute walk along the seafront promenade from the hotel, making it the perfect way to spend an evening.
